The Pirate Ship

Ahoy fellows! I am here with much news to share! This has been a very exciting last, what, 5 weeks?? Many ups and downs and I’ve enjoyed it all, even the rough parts, because that’s what makes you grow 😌

Firstly, I’m sorry to say that our guinea pig Butterscotch passed away on November the 19th 😔 It was very sad, and I miss her very much. It does bring me comfort though, to know that she is no longer in pain, and she was with her sister in her final hours. She departed from this world in the early hours of that morning, under the light of a full moon; I hope that it was peaceful.

In memory of her, I have started a digital drawing of her and my other guinea pig Ginny

I love this piece thus far, I look forward to painting it when I can!

The day of, I so blessedly had the opportunity to spend the day with my friends. It made a wonderful day out of what could’ve been very sad hours.

I also have some good news to report, and that is that we have a new guinea pig! We adopted young Caramel on the 28th of November!

Isn’t she cute? She also just so happens to be incredibly pregnant! This was intentional; we wanted babies.

I’m other news, the Minecraft update 1.18 came out on November 30th and omg I’ve only played a little but it’s so freaking awesome. Unfortunately my computer refuses to work at the moment. It’ll be fine

I’ve been doing lots of drawing, and even a bit more ✨animation✨ And now I’m gonna show you!!

First up I have this one. Meant to be some expression practice

I drew this Nya a few days ago. You know, if it weren’t for Nya, I wouldn’t have nearly as many opportunities to drawing long bouncey hair.

And my favorite traditional drawing I’ve done thus far! It’s Hunter from the Owl House season 2 ☺️

Jayaa!! From Ninjago! As you can see this isn’t shaded and that’s because Nya is giving me a lot of issues in this drawing! I can’t get her to look right! (And if you caught it, yes this is the blank pose I had from the last post)

As you can see, this one is fine. I was going for kind of a monk character. Yes, I know they look like somebody from Avatar

And then there’s this one, right? It’s a Wizard person, and from a certain angle they look fine, right?

And then I sat up straight in my chair, instead of slouching, only to find…

Perspective warp. Whyyy-

Well, suppose lessons learned the hard way are lessons learned nonetheless.

I am drawing my family’s Christmas card this year! Or at least that’s the plan. I’m a little worried about getting done in time

I have had some rough patches today, kind of like an emotional roller coaster for absolute no reason. But, I just need to stay positive 😌🙏 The day is not over yet, and there is always tomorrow. I am going to go be somewhere comfortable, and draw for a very long time. This funk will settle! And if you yourself is ever on a roller coaster of one moment you’re happy and the next your not, remember that it will always do that. There will never be a sadness that lasts forever, especially if you choose to smile 🙂

I hope you are having a wonderful December, and since I didn’t do more of those thankful posts before Thanksgiving, I’ll just do it now

I am thankful because I know I’m going to be better tomorrow. I am thankful because I’m going to get a haircut soon. I am thankful I’m advance for our baby guinea pigs. I am thankful for the people around me, and I’m thankful that Christmas is going to be awesome. Don’t stress my friend ❤
