I literally binged the whole thing AGAIN today—THEY’VE REACHED THEIR PEAK. The vibe they’ve been setting up is simply delightful—the vibe of things is very important to me—and I think I got the most enjoyment out of those that I ever have out of Ninjago!!!(Spoileys for the released episodes)
I mean, WHERE DO I START. ZANE TURNED OFF HIS EMOTION CHIP. WHAT THE HECK. THAT WAS DARKER THAN EXPECTED.

I feel like every fan’s dreams are coming true. The more mature vibe, the fact that Jay only went a BIT insane; in the sense that it wasn’t for comic relief, but he was GENUINELY HEARTBROKEN, and WE GOT TO SEE THAT.Also. I’m not going to say it before you do just in case you haven’t seen them all or something and I read your post incorrectly(I STRESS ABOUT THESE THINGS), but…the last scene in episode 12. I’ve already done art. INSAAAANE

LEGIT!! ALL OF THIS! I am so proud of how they are showing each Ninja to be processing things in a different way, and honestly, it’s fairly reminiscent of how things have happened in the past! But on the other hand, they’ve also grown SO MUCH as people! I’m so stinkin’ proud of Kai.
Did Nya sound like Pixal when she was… you know, a dragon? Was that just me? But yes, I think they all sound fantastic! (And Andrew Francis is doing really well for Cole! Rest in peace Mr Morrow 🙏)
JAYAAAA!!!! You know, I don’t wanna be the person saying “I told everyone so”… So I’m just gonna say it’s nice to see Nya back! And I’m glad they took some time with it! It made it more suspenseful! In my own opinion they could’ve held off the tiniest bit longer, but that’s probably just because I love Water Nya. I won’t nitpick because I’m so happy with the execution of these episodes!!!
THANK YOU because I did NOT watch episode 12, I am waiting a bit. I think I kinda saw a spoiler on the Ninjago wiki and I’m heartbroken bout that DX GONNA PRETEND I DIDNT SEE IT THO! I am very scared
I here you with the screaming. You know, not only have I been treated to all this new Ninjago, the new episode of Owl House came out today too, so I am REALLY HAPPY WITH LIFE RIGHT NOW!!!
One last thing before I go: I know this is a weird thing to ask, and you can TOTALLY say no, but if there was ever like another platform that you would want to rant and scream on together, let me know, you seem like a very nice person. I have a Discord, just uh, just throwin’ it out there. But I understand that internet strangers can be weird so I would be perfectly content to stay on WordPress as well!

Kinda!! I think it was because she was so calm. Normal Nya is usual somewhere between screeching and roaring (no offense, Nya!), but Dragon Nya was very mellow.
Yeah, I’m really coming to love him in that role. He’s doing an amazing job.
Haha, yeah!! Water Nya was epic, and if the writers hadn’t adjusted SO WELL to an 11 minute format, I’d say that Nya’s coming back was too fast. But it really did work. It would, however, have been cool to have Nya rejoin the team as Water Nya. That would be an EPIC super power. I can’t EVEN START on the whole “giving up my powers so I can be with my family” thing…UMMMM. If that ain’t character development then I don’t know WHAT IS.
Oh good!! My paranoia is rewarded!!! You very much should watch it. Did you see that there are gonna be 30 episodes in total??? I was relieved beyond reason. Your mind will explode when you get to it.
Haha, I too have suddenly been VERY happy; people around my house are gettin’ sick of it, lol.😅 The amount of spontaneous squealing and singing that’s been going on is hilariously high.

I know that’s oddly specific, but she feels like the type who’d have a cult by now.😅So many other things. I’ll have to do a more thorough discussion—and theory—post sometime soon.

I was kinda hoping Nya would still be water as Samurai X, so then the mec would open and there would just be a tank of water XD Wouldn’t have worked, but it would have been very funny
PEAK 👏CHARACTER👏DEVELOPMENT👏 I LOVED Call of Home, it was so good. I loved the concept, the animation, the pacing… and I like how Nya kind of reverted back to being stubborn after becoming human again. It didn’t feel like a negation of character development, it just felt very NYA!
Happy! Good feelings for all I hope!! I plan to be just as excited today as well! Because I like it. I’d like to thank my parents for listening to me talk about it. My dad even ranted with me! But he didn’t have a clue what I was talking about XD

Hmmm Miss Sally. At first I thought she was kind of neat, and then I got suspicious of her because she is PINK and do you know what else is pink? THE CRYSTALS OF THE CRYSTAL KING! But I dunno, she seems unlikely. And then I kind of related to her. Not in a sad way! Just that she has so many emotions and it’s sweet, and she’s trying her best and it’s was really nice to see her! Also Zane was so sweet in that episode. I love that the writers have embraced that the Ninja are older, I dunno, it’s sweet!
And I have no idea what the fandom thinks of her yet 🤔 Like I said, I got on the wiki for like 5 seconds and almost had my eyeballs spoiled off so I think I’m going to avoid he fandom like the plague for a bit! (As one usually should)But yes I thought she was pretty cool! And the music was a nice touch.

Haha, I thought that too, when we saw Samurai X (or as Pix briefly called it; SAM X (that sounds weird idk)) on the poster I thought the misty purple visor would be a preeeetty good disguise for a watery gal.
It could ALSO have been cool if the Crystal King had put a villain in a suit like that to trick the ninja…so many story options.Oh yes!!! Character dev to the MAX!!! She felt just like herself, but…but MORE of herself. And wasn’t the bit where she kept turning into a puddle such good animation??? I’ve already done art, lol. LOVE IT.
Haha, it’s really great when parents join in, even when they don’t know what’s going on, just because they know it makes you happy. My mom was super sweet when I was worrying about Crystalized’s release back when the first trailer came out—sweet in the sense that she provided a contrary argument. Heh, I don’t know if she DID or not, but it made me feel like she was really taking it seriously. Parents are great.

Hm, I didn’t think about that! The crystals are more of a purple, and Sally’s more cotton-candy pink, so I don’t think that’d happen…haha, yeah, I’m judging her villainous potential by her hair color. Seems legit. All though she DID bend the—um I mean “cHaNgE tHe ShApE” of her dad’s front fender. And borrowed her father’s van without asking.🤨
Oh my gosh, I do too. All of those years of lessony adventures are finally starting to sink in. They’re ✨maturing✨!🥹
Speaking of the fandom, I realized something. This is the first season I’ve gone into with NO outside opinions. I’ve seen a post by the Ninjago theorist on here, and I’ve seen yours, but that’s it! I find I enjoy these things more with a smaller amount of thoughts flooding in. I can just watch, and draw my own conclusions, getting what I get from what the writers have provided, unbiased by le fandom.

She’s BACK?!? For real? I think my dislike for that woman has increased a bunch. Like back in her season I thought Harumi was a pretty neat villain, albeit tragic, but she’s freaking me out now. I don’t like her anymore. She really hurt Lloyd and I don’t want to see him go through this all over again! AND there’s Pythor! Lloyd has history with him too! I’m really scared now, Harumi went from annoying to actually terrifying and I don’t understand why?!
I dunno, maybe that’s just me

Okay yeah, she’s genuinely terrifying. Honestly, she might be TOO dark for this new era of Ninjago. In that last trailer we see Lloyd crying in a cage, and I think I can put together why now. 😬
I’m not sure exactly how to describe her…she’s just more of a James Bond villainess type. The way she talks, the way she uses Lloyd, it’s just…VERY dark. Can I draw attention back to “Game of Masks”???
I have no idea how they’re going to handle her, and I’m both intruiged and kind of frightened!
AND I MEAN HOW IS SHE ALIVE. A possible theory of mine is that she’s a reanimated corpse..? Like, maybe the Crystal King has some sort of power to do that?

I know right! Like they toed the line in the Oni Trilogy but this might cross it if they aren’t careful! I mean, maybe it’s just more dark to those who over analyze it, but STILL! Lloyd looked SO emotionally distraught in that clip, that I actually thought that Harumi was the only explanation, even before I was spoiled or watched it at all. Like it wouldn’t make sense for anyone else to bring out that in him, THATS HOW BAD SHE IS! SHE MAKES HIM CRY!
I might have to go back and watch season 13 after all this is over *shudders* go back to when everyone is happy!
Then I’ll go watch Call of Home again because it was so good- -
Yeah. Tommy Andreasen DID say that Crystalized will feature both the darkest AND funniest episodes in the ENTIRE SERIES, and now that Harumi’s back…are we going to surpass the Oni Trilogy???
Haha, yeah, they WERE all happy in 13. I do, however, appreciate the fact that the writers are keeping up continuity! Villains like that WOULD want to come back for revenge.
Another thing that would probably raise the darkness level? HARUMI’S BLOOD-CURDLING SCREAM. You know, the one she does when she’s attacking or just REAL mad? It’s hair-raising!
Everything about her was just perfectly suited for a spy movie.
It’s the old realization that if the characters weren’t animated as LEGOs, it would certainly be PG.

YEEEESSS THE FLASHBACKS WERE SO AWESOME! I love when they acknowledge the earlier seasons! It just feels like it makes up for those time when the continuity fails (like when Kai made that comment about Jay not understanding sarcasm, when he used to be the most sarcastic character in the show 🤦😭). But I forgive them when we see that the older season still exist and are acknowledged through flashbacks! Speaking of forgiveness… I can’t remember if I mentioned it already, but Crystalized might cause me to do the unthinkable, and actually accept and forgive some of the mistakes in the Fire Chapter of s11. Things like why was Aspheera so important?? What was with that mirror that shows your greatest fears? It all makes sense now! I dunno if they’ve been planning this from the beginning or if this is just a clever way to fix a few things, but either way it’s working! So, I forgive most of the Fire Chapter

I can’t help but think how sad and funny it is that probably the only reason Ninjago isn’t more popular is because of the animation. Like, even if it was animated like ATLA it would might’ve been 10x more well known. I’m not saying the LEGO animation is bad, I like it! It is just interesting. Good reminder not to judge a book by its cover. Or by it’s first three episodes 🤷

Not at ALL!! Oh my goodness, I missed her. She’s awesome. I do definitely miss her look from Hunted, but I’m not like, mad at the new new look or anything. AAAAAA THAT WAS A GREAT LINE—And it was so cute when he winked at her when they were talking in the prison cafeteria.😂

NEW HAIR PIECES. WOW. Wouldn’t that be great!!?!?! I like Nya’s hair. A lot. But Pix had it first! Now, I think if anyone had to change her hair, it’d be Pix. She would look mighty fine with a pixie cut, imo. But if Nya changed her hair to sort of transition into her new identity as Samurai X again, that would be super cool too!!! Only downside would be that we’d have to figure out how to draw her hair all over again.😅

Their dynamic isn’t real explored, but I can’t help but feel it’s like a game of who can flirt the hardest, but it’s a ruse cause deep down they are both tragic messes when it comes to romance and that’s why they aren’t dating yet. But I’m sure their time will come!
Okay, I keep meaning to make a post about this, but I gotta bring it up now while Vania is brought up. I saw a Ninjago YouTuber vouch for this ship on her channel; Vania… x Benthomarr. Eh? Eh? Just let it sink in a bit before you reject it! And yeah, I feel like it would make the most sense if she turned up at LEAST towards the end! Unless Vangelis gets eaten by a snake or something cause you know, that happens sometimes.
It just doesn’t seem right that with ALL the different options of hairstyles, SOMEHOW our two main female characters have the same hair. I mean come on! I was kinda hoping they would utilize that fancy headband hair piece Nya got in the sets, but idk. It kinda would make more sense for her to change it. Signifying ✨more character growth✨Dang I guess we would have to relearn how to draw her. Hmmm

Alsoooo I’d like to point out a little something… Nya became human because she had her powers removed, right? Well… would it have the same effect if her powers were forcibly repressed? You know, like with the diddily dang magic metal we’ve been fussing about for the the last 2-3 years! But nooooo release the snake lady, whatever floats your boat! I’m not bitter about it or anything…

Well, she’d have to probably wear it or something. I think vengestone is more of a physical thing (handcuffs, jail cells, etcetera), while Aspheera’s staff was more magicky. Speaking of which…does Aspheera have her OWN power, or is it just the staff? If it was just the staff, why couldn’t the ninja simply have taken the staff and used it themselves? They could have just asked Aspheera how to use it, then asked the government’s permission to borrow the staff. Easy peasy, no law breaky.
