Ahoy!
If you are an artist, and you’ve never sketched with an ink pen, YOURE MISSING OUT. I know you’d probably think like, “Noooo, cause then if I make a mistake I can’t fix it!”
Yes.
But that’s the point.
If you’re wanting to make a really good piece that’s all neat and pristine, then yeah, you’ll want to use a pencil and then ink over it afterwards, that way you don’t screw up. But if you’re just sketching and practicing, an ink pen is really good.
First of all, the lines are darker and that just makes it look better anyway. Second, it’s good for practice. You aren’t just falling backwards on the eraser, your lines are more intentional. And if you draw something awful, just flip the page! Try again!
If you are struggling with confidence in your lines, the ink pen is the way to go. This is something I should have learned way sooner.
That’s what makes Inktober so great! Speaking of which…
I made two for this prompt as well.

The prompt of today FLAME 🔥
Neither of them are gorgeous, or make sense, or have good lighting, or anatomy, but that’s not the point! This is the thing that held me back last year when doing Inktober. I thought it had to look good, but it doesn’t! It’s just really fun and satisfying to watch your little ink pen glide across the page and create something horrendous.
There we go, that’s my quote.

Anyway, here are other things I made!
