New minifig!!! (Nya post ig?)

Okay so, last Sunday was my BIRTHDAY! I’ve been a year older than I was for a whole week! And I managed to go to the zoo, plan an SMP with my friends (which were starting today), and get a stomach bug/food poisoning (?). Yay!!!!!

But anyway, today I wanted to talk about Nya because CHECK OUT what I bought on the 12th!

Golden Nya!!! I really wanted to buy water Nya instead, but she was $45!! I didn’t have that much money, and I wasn’t going to pay that much for her anyway (she was missing a piece). So I got Golden Nya for 12 bucks!

My relationship with Nya is very interesting, because not too long ago, I didn’t really like her character tbh. I thought she was a bit annoying I guess? HOWEVER! Upon discovery of The Beahive ( https://beatricebrowndesign.wordpress.com ) (I can’t figure out how to link anymore???), her views and opinions put Nya in a whole new light for me, and now I really love (and occasionally relate?) to her beautiful character! Also she’s fun to draw!

Not to mention WATER NYA is SUPER COOL in my eyes, and despite what everyone else says, I think it’s such an awesome thing for her character. It’s DEVELOPMENT! This is her journey and moment in the spotlight. She is NOT dead, she is just in a different form, and she WILL return in one of the coming seasons.

I’m going to go off on a rant for a moment, but please understand I mean it in the most respectful way. This is my opinion and I don’t intend to dis anyone who disagrees (:

I stand firm in my belief that Nya got her wish in Seabound. Nya wants to be the master of her destiny, to choose her fate. And that’s exactly what she did! I know a lot of people say, “she didn’t get to choose because there wasn’t another option,” but I can’t help but disagree. Even if there wasn’t another option, this was still Nyas decision; to protect her friends, family, and the city. Don’t take that away from her!! She sacrifices herself out of choice, not pressure from anyone else!

My opinion though, I’d love to hear your thoughts as well 🙂

OMG ALSO THE FIRST NEW EPISODE OF OWL HOUSE CAME OUT YESTERDAY AND OH MU GOSH IT WAS CRAZY.

But I gotta go now so I might talk about TOH more another time. I hope to do some more drawings and doodles soon!!

    I love her hair. I really want to draw it but it’s kinda been tricky!

    With what we have, a person could approach Seabound with many different takes, and I find that fun and interesting. I am curious as to whether they will explore Nya’s views and emotions during her time as the ocean, or if they leave it up for interpretation.

    Yeeeeeeeess, I did put the frecklees on her. I don’t really imagine her with freckles, but I thought it was cute and a new take so I kept them. Ironically, that drawing was going to be Nya with Jay either hugging her from behind or kissing her neck or face or something, but I got tired of trying to get the angles right so I JUST drew Nya XP

    YESSSSSS HEADBAND NYA😩👏🏼 It makes her look so punk rock.😂
    I have slightly different opinions about Water Nya, but at the same time I’m kind of being pulled to your side…I feel like that’s the more intruiging angle, one that makes me think, and would actually do a lot of awesome things to character relations if that were canon in the show; I’m just hoping that something like that actually IS happening, because it would just be a really fun (I say fun as a writer, not for le poor ninja) if we could have some ✨conflicting emotions✨ about the topic.
    Ahem, anywho.
    Do I spy with my little eye FRECKLES on NYA?!?!!😲 It looks flippin epic my dude…And I love her expression, she’s kind of just like “Heck yeah, I’m the QUEEN”👸🏻
    *inhale* SKREEEEEEEEE YOU JUST MADE EVERYTHING LINE UP. That song as Covania!?!??!🥺 That song is so good, and I don’t think I’d even considered it as Covania…Do you mind if I do a drawing inspired by that connection?😗
