I guess one of these days I’ll have to do like a fandom round up, figure out how many I’m following at this point. It doesn’t FEEL like a lot but you know…

Ahoy fellows!!

So first off, A R T; Recently I’ve been watching this YouTube channel, a guy called Sam Does Arts. He’s a really amazing artist and chances are that you’ve seen his art someplace or another, his style is very iconic.

Anyway, while watching his videos, I noticed that… compared to others, I’m not very good at shading skin. Or shading in general

I’m not trying to be self deprecating! I just saw how other people were putting more color and saturation into their drawings and I thought, “You know, I should try that!”

So I did! I finished the lineart of this drawing and decided to take a chance and render in a new way. This is the result:

I like it SO MUCH BETTER than what I usually do! There is… something not quite right with this particular drawing that I can’t figure out, but I do love the colors and the general effect. And I had a lot of fun!

I really want to start breaking out of my comfort zone, start drawing more dynamic poses, more emotional expressions, more vibrant colors. That’s the goal anyway

Also, if you were wondering, the characters in my drawing are Rayla and Callum from ✨ze Dragon Prince✨

I watched the newest episodes of Miraculous; The Adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir and… to be brutally honest… it’s bad, that show is so broken

Like, you think the writing is bad in Once Upon A Time, or Ninjago season 11? Pfft, that’s nothing compared to this friggin French show.

Now, I’m NOT tryna diss on the show if you like it, that’s not what I’m saying at all! It’s a fun show, it’s got a really awesome concept and good characters. But it’s kinda like watching a train wreck. Like, you know it’s gonna crash and burn at the end, but you watch anyway, just to see what happens.

Kudos to those who have survived this show thus far (let alone active within the fandom), I dunno how you do it

TOMMY ANDREASEN REPLIED TO MY TWITTER POST!!! This is the second time he’s done this!! (Tommy is one of the main writers of Ninjago if you don’t know). Couple days ago I tweeted him, asking if there was anything new and interesting he could tell us about Princess Vania. He answered by saying something like, ‘She has the ability to conceal lit torches in her body?’ (Not his exact words)

He sounded unsure

I was slightly disappointed because I specifically asked for something we DIDNT know, and I felt like I already knew this. BUT it’s still cool. Tommy also released some cool new Seabound posters thingys on Twitter, they’re super cool!

Like, she was so annoying in season 1, then she was a “more espresso less depressdo“ kind of girl for the first part of season 2, and now she just this precious darling witchy lady that I have fallen in love with.

Also her hair is turning curly again which is AWESOME!!! I must draw her soon

At least the angst is interesting tho; even before the whole brainwashing thing, there was definitely a bit of tension/subtle resentment coming from Raine and Eda at each other . Now it’s just been magnified! What really happened between them? Is there more that we don’t know about their history??

Okay, I’m all done with my fandom updates. Well, except that Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is coming out in like two weeks so THATS awesome. I hope it’s a good movie🤞🏻
